We at Botrea Stairs support all local, national and international laws including Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, World Heritage Convention as well as logging, declarations of protected areas, environmental protection legislation, forestry, labour and social laws.

We aim to never knowingly become involved in the purchase of timber from suppliers that are…

• Involved in illegal logging operations.
• Harvesting from genetically modified (GM) trees.
• Using non-FSC-certified forest areas that have high conservation values.
• Harvested from forest area where traditional or civil rights are violated.
• Taking wood from Natural forest that has been converted to Plantations for Non-forest use.
• We make sure that to the best of our supplies knowledge we only use Sustainable sourced wood

Waste Policy As recycling is in the fore front of the vast majority of people then we at Botrea Stairs take pride in an almost 0% amount of wastage from our manufacturing process as we use the off cuts to fuel our solid fuel based heating system, and the excess is sold. All other waste products that are recyclable are taken to local recycling stations.

We sell to private and commercial customers as fuel for wood fires.

Sawdust & Shavings
Also sold mainly to riding schools, dog kennels and farmer for mainly animal bedding.
