Why choose Botrea ?

Changing or re-designing your staircase is a very important decision

Think of your staircase as a piece of furniture - but it is one that you
cannot move or change (easily) so its crucial you choose a company with experience and one you can trust.

Often we can offer a design solution that may not be obvious but the options suggested may solve space, light or access issues

Why use Botrea Stairs?
We can build new staircases, restore existing ones and supply staircases for private individuals,
builders, architects and design agencies.

Why choose Botrea Stairs? (Technical)
What stands us apart from the crowd is what we do as the norm

Softwood staircases come with treads (the part you stand on) of 32mm thickness, risers with 20mm thickness. Standard strings (the sides of the stairs) 32mm thick also with a depth of 240 mm while a cut-string stair case is 44mm thick to increase the stability and strength of the design.

With strings we leave you give you extra on the length (called tailings) so the stair fitter or site carpenter can cut your own (draw line) enables you to cut your own floor line so if you have a floating floor to go down the stair is constructed on the floor rather than the floating floor so as to increase stability.

Dry Construction Before any stair is delivered our team of experienced craftsmen dry build the staircases (full assembly of the stair case to make sure that every part fits).

Spindles as we dry build the stairs before we deliver yourselves we cut every spindle to the rake of the stair (angle of stair case) so as to save you time and effort and so we know what we supply will fit.

MDF Components, Treads having 22mm and risers at 10mm.

Newel Posts are as standard 90mm x 90mm in dimension are all mortis and tennoned for an easier assembly unless we are asked not to.

What does it cost?
This can be surprisingly little or as much as you want to spend.
You may want to replace a straight short flight staircase or you may want a solid oak
feature stair or a combination of wood, glass and stainless steel. Botrea Stairs can deliver all of these and more
ask!
